Unique and handmade artwork cut in wood and colored with natural color pigments. 

The structure and living surface of the wood is clearly visible and the small level differences in the art work catch the eye and provide depth to the image.

This art work is from the series "Design Icons"  with illustration of famous danish design icons in different graphic interior settings.
This artwork includes illustrations of the famous chair, Y-stolen by Hans J. Wegner and Vilhelm Wohlerts lamp.

The series is designed by architect Eva Wandel, and graphic designer Rikke Nogel.

The work is handmade at our workshop in Copenhagen.

ABOUT THE DESIGN ICON COLLECTION:
The art collection with design icons consits of illustrations of famous danish design icons ranging from Arne Jacobsens, Børge Mogensen, Hans.J. Wegner, Werner Panton, Poul Kjærholm, Kasper Salto, Vilhelm Wolhert, Poul Henningsen to Le Klints famous furniture. Designs which have become world famous icons are graphically illustrated in different interior settings. Hereby the different design icons appear as sculptural elements on a graphic scene.
